In 2006, on the pristine island of Jeju, where one can enjoy both views of Mount Halla and the sea, Jeju farmers diligently planted organic tea seedlings one by one, by hand. For over 7 years, the wind, water, and sunlight of Jeju nurtured the tea, while animals watched over its growth. Finally, after eight years of hard work, people began to harvest the first tea leaves and began making tea. The freshness of the young tea trees resembles that of a freshly washed youth, a distinctive characteristic tea flavor of Moru Farm's tea.

The history of Korean matcha traces back to the Goryeo Dynasty (918–1392).
For over a thousand years, Korea, China, and Japan shared culture and friendship through the tradition of drinking finely ground tea.


Today, Jeju Island stands as the spiritual home of Korean matcha.

Nurtured by Jeju’s unique environment — mineral-rich volcanic soil, pristine volcanic water, and fresh ocean breezes — the tea plants grow with exceptional vitality.

Behind every leaf are dedicated organic tea farmers, tending to their fields every single day as if raising their own children.
They pull weeds by hand, enrich the soil naturally, and cultivate their tea trees with great care.
Jeju is the only region in the world where every tea farm practices environmentally friendly, pesticide-free agriculture.


Moru Matcha is crafted in partnership with these Jeju farmers who devote their lives to protecting both the land and the purity of their tea.
